cold and foggy

今日は遅めに起きて、ニューデリー駅の近くに行きました。霧なのか、砂ホコリなのか、 視界が悪いです。大阪ほど寒くないと思いますが、肌寒く感じました。

We slept in this morning, and went to near the New Delhi railway station. It's foggy, sooty, and dusky. Not as cold as Osaka, but it's a bit colder than I'd expected.

ここで道を渡るのは命がけです。道を渡る際は、心を無にするか、必ずインド人の横についてなければなりません。

Crossing streets in this city is a life-threatening experience. You have to be a Zen master, or be always beside an Indian man when you go across the street.

普通のトイレですが、左横に小さなシャワーがついてます。水でお尻を洗うためのものだと思われます。





Shower with a 'sun flower' like huge shower. I was very relieved that we have hot water!

シャワーの上にもう一つヒマワリのような大きなシャワー。お湯が出るのでひとまず安心。

Our hotel in Delhi---nice and modest hotel, I think. We will be here till 11th. After that, we'll move to another hotel, which is closer to the Hindi language school.

私たちの泊まるホテル。いい感じです。１１日まではとりあえずここにいます。それ以後は、語学学校の近くのホテルに移ります。

Our first visit of the year to a shrine.

久方ぶりに石切神社を参拝しました。前回はいつだったか記憶にありませんが、おばあちゃんと一緒に行ったときのことを思い出し、懐かしく感じました。

It's been awhile since the last time we visited this 'Ishikiri Shrine'. We used to come once a year when my grandmother was still alive.

The weather in India is a little warmer than Osaka. But I heard that the temperature will go up very quickly in February.
