あまりに観光客があふれていて、ゆっくりしたいとは思いませんでした。有名なチベット寺院を見て、チベット料理（トゥクパという麺）を食べ、あまり散策もせずに帰りました。日本食レストランもあると聞いていたけど、そこへも結局行かずじまいでした。唯一の収穫は、安く干しシイタケが買えたことです。
ダライラマ法王が、ちょうどインドに戻って来ていたようですが、一般者向けの講演などがなく、会うことはできませんでした。本当に会いたければ、予約もできるそうです。またの機会を楽しみにすることとします。

The Dalai Lama's residence is located in a place called McLeod Ganj, which is about 50 min. away from the farm by bus or shared taxi. This is a very touristy place, where a lot of Westerners visit. I didn't feel like going around, since it's all crowded with travelers. So I visited the famous Tibetan monastery, had a tasty Tibetan noodle and then came back.
His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama was just back to India when I was there, but I didn't have the chance to see him. But, I heard, if you really want to meet him in person, you can make a reservation in advance. Maybe next time, I plan ahead and go to one of his pubic lectures.
